Omani Delegation Explores Jordan’s Vocational Training Model

Amman, Jan. 30 (Petra) – A delegation from the Omani Ministry of Defense visited the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) to gain insights into Jordan’s leading experience in vocational training.

According to a statement issued by the VTC on Thursday, Director General Ahmed Gharaibeh highlighted the strong historical ties between Jordan and Oman and emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in vocational training as a key driver of economic and social development.

Gharaibeh provided a comprehensive overview of the corporation’s achievements, advanced training programs, and strategic plans aimed at aligning with technological advancements and labor market demands.

He also outlined reforms in the vocational and technical training system under the Economic Modernization Vision, which seeks to enhance educational outcomes and their relevance to economic sectors.

The delegation was briefed on the Professional Excellence Centers, a flagship VTC initiative, and the tourism and hotel academies established under the Royal Initiative for the Development of Culinary Arts, designed to equip graduates with industry-relevant skills.

Expressing admiration for Jordan’s advanced vocational training programs, the Omani delegation underscored the importance of leveraging Jordan’s expertise to develop Oman’s vocational training sector through knowledge exchange and best practices.
