Amman, Jan. 26 (Petra) — The Lower House’s Legal Committee on Monday approved draft laws ratifying two extradition agreements, one between Jordan and Spain, and the other with Uzbekistan.
The mandating reasons of the drafts is to enhance cooperation between Jordan and the two countries in combating and curbing crime, ensuring that criminals do not escape justice, and facilitating extradition procedures in accordance with constitutional principles, said Head of the Committee, Aref Sa’ydeh.
Justice Minister Bassam Talhouni told the committee that the agreements underline Jordan’s ongoing efforts and cooperation with friendly countries in judicial affairs.
