Petra, Nov. 4 (Petra) –Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) met Tuesday with Amman Asia Electric Power Co. (AAEPC) to explore cooperation in electricity and renewable energy, and discuss ways to enhance the region’s energy infrastructure.
During the meeting with the company’s CEO, and in the presence of the Commissioners for Infrastructure and Investment and Tourism, PDTRA Chiarman, Fares Breizat, called for strengthening partnerships with companies in the energy sector to support the authority’s development plans and sustainability goals.
AAEPC CEO commended Petra’s “promising” investment potential in the energy sector and expressed his company’s “readiness” to study joint projects aimed at developing renewable energy sources and improving efficiency of the local power grid.
According to a PDTRA statement, discussions covered investment opportunities in renewable energy projects, ways to enhance energy efficiency, and support for local economic development.
The meeting also reviewed PDTRA’s future projects planned to be implemented with private-sector partners to improve energy services, promote environmental sustainability, and expand use of renewable energy across the region.
