Amman, Dec. 29 (Petra) The Highway Patrol Department announced a full closure of the Wadi Araba Road at the Martyr Memorial area following a complete landslide that destroyed approximately 70 meters of the road with a depth of around 12 meters.
Authorities have diverted vehicles heading to Wadi Araba and Aqaba to the Desert Highway. Traffic coming from the Wadi Araba customs toward Amman has also been rerouted via the Desert Highway.
The patrols are on-site to guide and assist motorists, and travelers are urged to follow the instructions of security personnel for their safety.
