Amman, Aug. 24 (Petra) – The Traffic Department on Sunday launched its back-to-school traffic plan, warning of heavier congestion on major and secondary roads as students return to class.
The plan targets violations that often resurface during the school year, including school buses exceeding passenger limits, speeding, unsafe pick-up and drop-off points, and the use of vehicles for unauthorized purposes. Officials said such practices put students at risk and cause traffic disruptions.
Police urged motorists to follow officers’ instructions, allow extra travel time, and avoid speeding to help keep traffic moving safely and smoothly.
