Khartoum, 11-2-2026 (SUNA) – The Chairperson of the Political Parties Affairs Council, Dr. Leila Osman Ibrahim, announced the outset of the periodic data renewal period for all registered political parties, as part of the council’s efforts to enhance transparency and update the parties’ registry for 2026.She emphasized the importance of political parties submitting updated membership lists and financial statements by no later than 15 March 2026, clarifying that updates should include the party leader’s name, members of leadership bodies, party headquarters, as well as approved annual budgets.She noted that this step is part of the council’s supervisory and regulatory role to ensure parties carry out their activities according to the law and enhance their readiness for political obligations, thereby reinforcing the principles of transparency and party democracy.The Chairperson called on political parties to fulfil the updating requirements through official communication channels, via the council’s website and email.Website: www.ppac.gov.sd Email: [email protected]/BH
