Amman, January 11 (Petra) — Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan said on Saturday that his government is “honoured” by His Majesty King Abdullah II’s visit to the Prime Ministry last week and chairing part of a Cabinet meeting.
Hassan said the King’s directives are “clear and binding” on the government, particularly calls for officials at all levels to engage directly with the people.
During the Cabinet session on Tuesday, Hassan said the government is launching the executive programme in January following royal directives. He said the programme “must be clear,” linked to a timeline for implementation and adhered to by all ministries.
Hassan said he hopes the draft budget law will be approved by the Senate shortly after its approval by the House of Representatives, allowing the government to begin implementing projects outlined in the executive programmes.
He said the government is committed to fulfilling the pledges made during field visits and Cabinet sessions, adding that monthly field visits would continue.
