Tenders Authority Organizes Forum to Enhance Entrepreneur Opportunities in
Contracts
Muscat,
14 Jul (ONA) — The Projects, Tenders and Local Content Authority today
organized an expanded dialogue forum bringing together numerous entrepreneurs
from various sectors. This initiative comes within the authority’s efforts to
stimulate and enhance private sector participation in government projects and
contracts, thereby supporting the national economy and maximizing these
institutions’ contributions to development.
The
forum is part of a series of national initiatives aimed at activating
widespread SME participation in developmental projects and increasing their
contribution to GDP. This reinforces economic sustainability goals and
strengthens public-private partnership values.
The
event reflects the authority’s commitment to direct engagement with business
owners through open dialogue discussing key proposals and challenges to improve
the tendering environment. This approach aims to develop relevant policies and
procedures, ensuring fair access to public tender opportunities while enhancing
businesses’ growth and expansion capabilities.
During
the forum, participants reviewed key updates on available projects and tenders,
with special emphasis on the growing number of SME “Riyada” card
holders registered with the Authority.
