Amman, July 28 (Petra) – Prosecutors launched an investigation into a
viral social media video alleging police misconduct during a drug
search on Monday, according to a Public Security Directorate (PSD)
spokesperson.
Initial findings, including body camera footage worn by
anti-narcotics officers during the search, showed “no evidence that
the individual or another resident in the building were struck or
assaulted.”
Despite the lack of a formal complaint, the prosecutor’s office
stated it is committed to investigating the incident and responding
based on its findings.
