Doha, August 01 (QNA) – The Qatar Football Association (QFA) has affirmed that it fully supports FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s decision not to proceed with the “FIFA Forward Enterprise” proposal.
It reiterated its commitment to serving the best interests of the global football community, strengthening its stability, and promoting the unity of FIFA Member Associations.
In a statement, HE President of QFA Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani hailed this move as serving the interests of the global football community, asserting that it outlines some ideas that deserve examination.
Sheikh Hamad underlined that the priority in the current phase lies in ensuring the unity of national associations, indicating that despite the proposal including these ideas, he praises making the continuity and unity of all national Member Associations an immediate priority during this current period, which necessitated this decision.
As such, QFA stressed that it wholly supports FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s unwavering efforts to advance football around the globe. (QNA)
