Concludes 2025 Cultural Competition

Muscat,
25 Nov 2025 (ONA) — The Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) today concluded its 2025
Cultural Competition, under the auspices of Civilian Officer Said Hamad Al
Malki, Director General of Finance at the RGO.

The
ceremony, held at the RGO Command headquarters, began with a visual
presentation on the course of the cultural competition’s activities. The
competition is held as part of the continuous attention the RGO attributes to
cultural, literary, and artistic aspects, and its commitment to enhancing
knowledge, honing and developing the talents of RGO personnel. Furthermore, it
aims to motivate them for creativity and cultural competition, enriching their
knowledge in various fields.

The
chief guest and attendees witnessed the final round of the General Questions
(Q&A) competition, which pitted the Second Battalion team against the Third
Battalion team, with the Second Battalion team emerging victorious. The
ceremony also featured a performance by the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra of
the two musical compositions that won first place in the best military musical
piece category of the competition.

The
chief guest and attendees toured the accompanying exhibition, which included
numerous creative works, art paintings, and a number of winning models and
innovations from the competition. The chief guest commended the high standards
demonstrated by the competition, thanked everyone for their efforts, and
congratulated the winners of advanced positions across the various fields of
the competition.

Finally,
the chief guest honored the competition’s judges and presented awards to the
first-place winners in the various categories, which included: (Holy Quran
Memorization and Tajweed, Scientific Essay, Scientific Research, Poetry,
Drawing, Short Story, Short Play Script, Arabic Calligraphy, Photography,
Graphic Design, Digital Content Creation (Short Films), Innovation
(Installation Art), Excellence in Individual Works, General Questions
(Q&A), Oratory, and Best Military Musical Piece).

The
event was attended by a number of senior officers and RGO personnel.
