Riyada Organizes Dialogue Session on Enhancing Opportunities for SMEs in Energy, Minerals Sectors
Muscat, 15 Jun (ONA) — The Authority for Small and Medium
Enterprises Development (Riyada) today held a dialgue session on enhancing
opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the energy and
minerals sectors.
The session, held in Muscat, explored ways of empowering SMEs
by presenting innovative ideas, improving their operational efficiency and
encouraging government and private partnerships with them.
It also discussed relevant policies,
legislation, licensing and enablers that support SMEs in developing innovative
solutions and partnerships in the energy and minerals sectors.
The dialogue session was attended by Eng. Salim Nasser Al Aufi,
Minister of Energy and Minerals, Halima Rashid Al Zar’ai, Chairperson of Riyada, officials
from the authorities concerned and owners of SMEs operating in the energy and
minerals sectors.
