Port Sudan, Feb. 4, 2026 (SUNA) – Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Khalid Al-Eisir held talks on Wednesday with Indonesian Ambassador to Sudan Sonarko Soewito on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the cultural, media, and tourism sectors. The meeting was attended by Ministry Undersecretaries Dr. Geraham Abdel-Gadr and Sumaya Al-Hadi.In press statements following the meeting, Ambassador Soewito said discussions focused on advancing joint cooperation mechanisms between the two countries across culture, media, and tourism, with particular focus on broadening cultural partnership initiatives.The ambassador reaffirmed Indonesia’s firm commitment to supporting Sudan and deepening joint cooperation across all sectors, as well as expanding coordination frameworks in ways that reinforce bilateral relations and serve mutual interests.He added that Sudan–Indonesia relations will continue their positive trajectory toward further growth and prosperity through sustained cooperation and coordination at the international level.FA/BH
