Amman, Jan. 27 (Petra) — Head of the Higher Council of the National Centre for Curriculum Development (NCCD), Muhyiddine Touq, has been re-elected for a third term to the Board of Governors of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) for the period from 2024 to 2027.
The IACA, headquartered in Vienna, Austria, was founded in 2012 as the world’s only international institution dedicated to the fight against corruption and the promotion of good governance.
The academy offers advanced educational programs, including master’s and doctoral degrees, as well as workshops and training courses aimed at enhancing a culture of integrity and supporting the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC).
Jordan has played a pivotal role in the global anti-corruption movement, being one of the first countries to sign the UNCAC in 2005. Touq chaired the committee responsible for negotiating the convention and presented it to the UN General Assembly in the same year.
This latest achievement highlights Jordan’s ongoing commitment to promoting integrity and combating corruption on both the national and international stages.
