Khartoum, Feb. 11, 2026 (SUNA) — TSC Member and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces General Shams-Eddin Kabbashi commended popular resistance groups, native administration leaders, and youth and women’s organizations for supporting the Armed Forces.Addressing residents of Al-Takamul area in East Nile locality on Wednesday, he said military operations will continue until all areas of Kordofan, Darfur, and the rest of Sudan are cleared.Kabbashi stated that the next phase will be led by youth — not only in combat, but also in reconstruction, development, and political and community work — and called for unified official and public efforts to overcome current challenges.He pledged to address the locality’s drinking water shortage through a Nile-fed water station in coordination with the Khartoum Wali, and to tackle the shortage of electrical transformers. He also stressed the need to obtain national ID numbers and civil documents to facilitate land, housing, health, and travel procedures, announcing the establishment of a new civil registry centre in Soba to ease pressure on citizens.Kabbashi instructed the Minister of Social Welfare to strengthen support for women’s programmes and projects in the area and to prioritize vulnerable groups affected by the war.Khartoum Wali Ahmed Othman Hamza, for his part, announced an emergency plan to restore essential services, including maintenance of water and electricity networks, rehabilitation of hospitals and health centres, and an assessment of damage to private and public property. He called on citizens to rally behind the Armed Forces and said the state is working to facilitate residents’ return and secure basic needs.The event featured a popular resistance parade, wrestling displays, and folk heritage performances.BH/BH
