London, Feb. 2 (Petra) – Britain’s FTSE 100 index overcame market concerns on Monday evening, reaching a new record high of 10,298 points, up 0.7 percent.
According to The Guardian, the index’s rise was driven mainly by a recovery in metal prices, as mining companies regained most of their earlier losses following a moderate improvement in precious metals prices, which had declined in the early hours of the day.
