Amman, Feb 11 (Petra) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned on Wednesday that Israeli measures in the occupied West Bank are a new violation of international law, which undermines the future of Palestinians.
The agency said in a post on X that the measures, aimed to increase Israeli control over the territory in terms of property law, planning, licensing and enforcement, would help accelerate settlement expansion in the West Bank, further weakening the prospects of Palestinians and increasing the pressures of their daily lives.
UNRWA added that these steps are a recipe for increased control, despair, and violence, stressing that they set a dangerous precedent with possible international repercussions.
