Vinicius, Mbappé Fire Real Madrid to Commanding Victory, Perfect
Start Continues
Madrid, 24 Sep (ONA) — Real Madrid maintained their flawless
start to the Spanish La Liga season with a dominant 4-1 victory over Levante,
showcasing the attacking firepower that makes them early title favourites.
The league leaders set the tone early with Vinicius Junior
breaking the deadlock in the 28th minute with a clever, outside-of-the-foot
finish. Argentine teenager Franco Mastantuono then marked a memorable moment,
scoring his first goal for the club just before halftime to double the
advantage.
Levante threatened a comeback
shortly after the restart, as Etta Eyong capitalized on a defensive lapse to
pull a goal back. However, any hopes of a shock result were extinguished in a
swift, two-minute blitz from Kylian Mbappé. The French superstar first calmly
converted a penalty in the 67th minute before sealing the match with a classic
counter-attacking finish, bringing his league tally to five goals.
The result propels manager Xabi
Alonso’s side to 18 points from a possible 18, opening a five-point gap over
rivals Barcelona, who have a game in hand against Real Oviedo tomorrow (Thursday).
