New York, Jan. 6 (Petra) – The World Food Programme (WFP) Monday condemned the Israeli occupation forces for opening fire on a clearly marked WFP convoy near the Wadi Gaza checkpoint on Sunday.
The WFP stated in a statement that the shooting put the lives of its staff at tremendous risk, though none of them were injured in the alarming incident. The convoy, consisting of three vehicles carrying eight staff members, was targeted despite having obtained all necessary approvals from Israeli authorities.
