
Amman, Jan 26 (Petra) – Minister of Youth, Yazan Shdeifat, and the Country Director of AMIDEAST, Nour Al Rasheed, discussed the implementation mechanisms for the third edition of the Employment Skills Training Program for the aviation sector. This program is being carried out by AMIDEAST in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Boeing International.
Shdeifat emphasized the importance of the program in enhancing youth participation in the economy, aligning with the Economic Empowerment Pillar of the National Youth Strategy. He stressed the need to expand the program to equip youth with the skills needed in the labor market.
In turn, Al Rasheed reviewed the achievements of the program over the past two years and its impact on providing training and employment opportunities for youth in aviation companies. She also commended the cooperation with the Ministry of Youth.
The program, which targets 60 young men and women, includes 200 hours of training in various skills needed to enter the aviation sector, such as English language skills, basic job-related and digital skills.
Participants will also undergo specialized training tailored to meet the sector’s specific requirements, which will be conducted in collaboration with the Royal Jordanian.
