Zarqa, Oct. 1 (Petra) — Zarqa’s commercial exports climbed to JD 38.2 million in September, underscoring the city’s role as one of Jordan’s leading trade hubs.
According to the Zarqa Chamber of Commerce, automobiles and spare parts dominated export activity, followed by construction materials, pharmaceuticals, food products, and jewelry. Other key exports included clothing, electronics, furniture, and stationery.
Chamber President Hussein Shreim said exports dipped slightly from JD 39.5 million in August but rose significantly compared with September 2024’s JD 31 million.
He stressed that the figures highlight steady demand for Zarqa’s re-exports and the Free Zone’s contribution to Jordan’s overall trade growth.
