Occupied Jerusalem, January 2 (Petra) — Extremist settlers stormed the courtyards of the al-Aqsa Mosque/ al-Haram al-Sharif, in occupied Jerusalem on Thursday through the Magharbeh Gate under heavy protection from Israeli occupation police.
The Jerusalem Islamic Endowments Department reported that dozens of settlers entered the sacred site. The group toured the courtyards and performed “provocative Talmudic rituals.”
During the incursion, worshipers were prevented from entering the al-Aqsa through its external gates, a measure implemented to secure the settlers’ activities.
