Amman, January 12 (Petra) — A man alleged on Sunday that he had thrown his two children into the Zarqa Stream, according to a Public Security Directorate (PSD) statement.
The PSD said they received a report from the Family Protection Department in Zarqa that two children were abused by their father, and that he left the house with them to an unknown location and claimed during a phone call that he threw them into Zarqa Stream.
The Civil Defence Department (CDD’s) diving teams and teams from Zarqa Police started a rescue mission. The father of the two children was arrested and investigations began with him, coinciding with the ongoing search for the two children.
