Amman, January 19 (Petra) — Minister of Government Communication Mohammad Momani said on Sunday that the government is committed to a policy of openness and communication with civil society institutions and national media outlets.
During a meeting with the Coordination Committee for Voluntary, Social and Cultural Work in Ajloun and Jerash at the Ministry offices, Momani discussed the Ministry’s focus on building partnerships with civil society organisations.
He outlined the Ministry’s efforts to strengthen communication with media outlets to ensure the effective flow of information to the public and that the Ministry is dedicated to promoting media and information literacy to combat misleading information.
Momani said the government’s strategic vision aligns with the state’s modernisation efforts, focusing on political, economic and administrative reforms. Administrative modernisation, he added, is a “key driver for economic and political progress.”
Initiative members, representatives from Jerash and Ajloun, who work in voluntary, social, cultural and media fields and members from voluntary associations and organisations, made comments and suggestions.
