NNA – Bahrain launched quot;Al Munther,quot; its first satellite, from Vandenberg Air Force Base in Western California.
quot;Al Muntherquot; is the first Bahraini satellite to be fully designed and developed in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It aims to localize satellite technologies and enhance Bahrain#39;s capabilities in the space sector.
quot;Al Muntherquot; is the first of its kind in the region to employ artificial intelligence technologies to analyze satellite images onboard a satellite of this size. Itnbsp;underwent a series of rigorous tests to ensure its ability to withstand the harsh space environment and operate efficiently after launch.The tests were conducted at several specialized facilities regionally and internationally.
The satellite was launched aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base in the United States, according to Sky News Arabia.
