Jordan’s civil defense responds to 1,669 incidents in past 24 hours

Amman, May 14 (Petra) – Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) dealt with 1,669 incidents over the past 24 hours across the Kingdom.

During that period, the CDD responded to 1,480 and 89 emergency and rescue incidents in a row, while its crews put out 100 blazes, with an average response time of approximately 7.5 minutes.

In a statement on Wednesday, the directorate stated the average response time for emergency cases stood at 7:36 minutes, while the time to carry out rescue missions and firefighting action was 7:34 and 7:35 minutes, respectively.

Affirming its “high level of readiness” to provide its humanitarian and operational services, the CDD noted its personnel continue to work round the clock to ensure “rapid” response and maintain the citizens’ safety.
