Workshop Discusses Future of
Electronic Invoicing in Oman

Muscat, 9 August 2026 (ONA) — A
workshop was held in Muscat today about the future of electronic invoicing and
the readiness of companies for the next stage of digital transition in the
Sultanate of Oman.

The workshop brought together a
select group of business leaders and specialists from the financial and
technological sectors.

Idrees Al Rashidi, E-Invoicing
Project Manager at the Tax Authority, presented a working paper on regulatory
developments related to e-invoicing in the Sultanate of Oman. He stressed the
importance of companies’ furnishing environments for the next stage of digital
transition.The workshop included two dialogue
sessions, the first of which underscored the significance of drawing out a roadmap
for electronic invoicing and regulatory requirements. It discussed the role of
various parties in supporting company readiness.

The second dialogue session focused
on examples of practical experiences of companies, the challenges of
implementation of e-invoicing and the importance of providing flexible
technological solutions that help organizations achieve compliance smoothly.

The workshop concluded with an open discussion session during which the participants exchanged experiences, while the organizers answered the queries of companies about the future of
electronic invoicing in the Sultanate of Oman.

The workshop was organized by InvoiceQ
company in cooperation with Tasdeed company, with the aim of providing integrated electronic billing solutions that help companies
connect with their existing systems, in addition to streamlining procedures,
achieving compliance with changing regulatory requirements and enabling Omani
companies to prepare for the next stage of electronic invoicing.
