Amman, May 17 (Petra) – Temperatures will rise “significantly” on Saturday, reaching 9-11 degrees Celsius above their seasonal average.
The weather will be hot, dry, and dusty in most areas of the Kingdom, and scorching in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) warns in its report of the risk of reduced horizontal visibility due to dust in several areas and on highways.
According to the update, the JMD said influence of the hot air mass will “gradually” recede on Sunday, as temperatures are tipped to drop slightly.
However, the JMD said the weather will be relatively similar to the earlier day..
On Monday, temperatures will drop further, with warm weather forecast in most areas and blistering in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
Also today, temperatures in Amman will range between 38-22 degrees Celsius, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a sweltering 44C, sliding to 29C at night.
