Amman, June 12 (Petra) – Deputizing for HRH Princess Alia Bint Al Hussein, His Highness Prince Asem bin Nayef on Thursday inaugurated the Arab Postal Stamp Exhibition 2025, with the participation of representatives of Arab postal authorities.
The event, which is organized by the Jordan Post Company (JPC), will run from June 12 to 14.
Talking to the audience, Sami Daoud, JPC Chairman, commended His Highness Prince Asem bin Nayef’s keenness to support cultural and heritage events and his constant interest in initiatives that enhance national identity and reflect Jordan’s bright image regionally and globally.
Daoud added that the exhibition reflects His Majesty King Abdullah II’s firm support for enhancing the Kingdom’s postal sector, based on his belief in the importance of this business in promoting cultural development and communication.
Postal stamps, he stated, will always continue to be the “true” channel to reflect Jordan’s identity, culture, and profound history and record “pivotal” national moments and entrench its symbols and values.
On its goals, he noted the event serves as a platform for exchanging expertise, strengthening inter-Arab cooperation in this field and shedding light on this rich shared heritage, which Arab countries cherish and strive to preserve and develop to reflect their “glorious past and ambitious future.”
Additionally, he thanked the National Library of Jordan for hosting this “significant” cultural event, which reflects its “pioneering” role in preserving the national memory and supporting activities that promote Jordanian heritage.
During the opening ceremony, a video was screened to showcase Jordanian stamps and Jordan Museum’s exhibits, as well as ways to exchange exhibitor experiences.
Besides Jordan, Qatar, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Mauritania, and the Jordan Philatelic and Numismatic Society are taking part in the event.
