Japan’s Nikkei Closes with a Decline Tokyo, 22 Jul (ONA) – The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average fell 44.19 points, or 0.11 %, from Friday to 39,774.92.
The broader Topix index finished 1.71 points, or 0.06 %, higher at 2,836.19.
On the exchange rate front, the US dollar rose against its Japanese counterpart by approximately 0.32 % to 147.87 yen in morning trading, while the yield on 10-year Japanese government bonds fell by more than one basis point to 1.509 %. —Ends/AG
