Gaza Strip Sept. 1 (Petra) – Ninety-eight Palestinians were killed and 404 injured across the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours as Israel’s aggression persisted, the Gaza Ministry of Health said Monday.
Forty-six of the fatalities and 239 of the wounded were targeted at aid distribution sites, bringing “bread martyrs” death toll to 2,294 and more than 16,839 injured, it said in its daily update.
It also said Gaza hospitals recorded 9 new deaths from starvation and malnutrition, including 3 children, in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of famine victims to 348, including 127 children.
The latest casualties took to 63,557 the death toll from Israel’s war, which began on Oct. 7, 2023, while the number of wounded climbed to 160,660.
