Business Forum Explores Cooperation Opportunities, Partnerships

8 Sep (ONA) — The Oman-Estonia Business Forum, organized today in Muscat by Oman
Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasized strengthening economic and
investment relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Estonia.

The
forum sought to explore opportunities for cooperation and partnerships between
the private sectors of the two countries.

The
forum discussed opportunities for cooperation in several sectors, including
information and communication technology, industry, cybersecurity, educational
technology, agricultural technology, green and renewable energy, real estate,
logistics, transportation, smart manufacturing, and sustainability.

Qais
Mohammed Al Yousuf, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion,
stated: “This forum is a testament to the mutual interest of our friendly
countries in developing relations and promoting mutual investment. We are
seeking investment opportunities in sectors of common interest to foster trade,
imports, and exports. Oman aims to diversify its imports while also boosting
its exports of Omani products.”

On
his turn, Faisal Abdullah Al Rowas, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and
Industry, explained that the forum offers a valuable opportunity to open new
horizons for joint cooperation. He highlighted Estonia’s global leadership in
digital transformation, e-governance, innovation, and modern technologies, and
Oman’s promising investment potential, strategic location connecting global
markets, modern infrastructure, and ambitious future vision, Oman Vision 2040.
He expressed hope that the forum will lead to practical partnerships in
multiple fields and diversify joint investments.

Margus
Tsahkna, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, affirmed that the forum
demonstrates the commitment to building bridges of economic and commercial
cooperation. He noted Oman’s promising investment potential and its strategic
location linking regional and international markets, while highlighting
Estonia’s leadership in digital technology and innovation. He pointed out that
there are great opportunities for integration between the capabilities of both
sides in sectors such as digital transformation, renewable energy, logistics,
education, and entrepreneurial innovation.

Furthermore,
Ingrid Amer, Estonia’s Ambassador to Oman, said that Omani-Estonian relations
are developing at a rapid pace, especially in the economic and commercial
fields. Oman, with its promising investment environment and strategic location,
is an important partner for Estonia, which is distinguished by its expertise in
digital transformation, innovation, and entrepreneurship. She explained that
the next phase will bring greater opportunities to enhance cooperation between
entrepreneurs and companies in both countries, contributing to new commercial
and technological partnerships that achieve mutual benefit and strengthen ties.

The
forum included a visual presentation showcasing the main investment
opportunities available in Oman across various industrial, commercial, tourism,
and logistics sectors. It also highlighted opportunities in special economic
zones and free zones, as well as the incentives and benefits they offer to
investors.

On
the sidelines of the forum, bilateral meetings were held between business
owners and private sector representatives from both sides to discuss ways to
strengthen and finalize commercial and investment partnerships.
