FSA Symposium Discusses Legislative,
Regulatory Updates on Accountancy, Auditing

Muscat, 17 Sep (ONA) — The
Financial Services Authority (FSA) today organized a symposium titled
“Accounting and Auditing: Reality and Development Opportunities”.

Held in Muscat in the presence of representatives
of accounting and auditing firms and specialists, the symposium was aimed to exchange
expertise, boost channels of communication among professional offices and
explore key legislative and regulatory updates in the profession of accounting
and auditing.

The symposium saw the launch of an
integrated electronic system whereby accounting and auditing offices can submit their applications for registration and renewal. The system constitutes a step forward in FSA’s
digital tranisition drive. It enables applicants to electronically submit and follow-up their applications in a transparent manner
that contributes to revision and tracking of performance.
