Muscat Hosts Meeting on Digital
Transition in Islamic Banking

Muscat, 28 Sep (ONA) — The second
edition of the Islamic Banking Forum, “Themar 2025”, was held today in Muscat
under the theme “Islamic Financial Transactions and Economic Stability”.

The opening ceremony was held under
the auspices of HH Sayyid Numair bin Salim Al Said.

The meeting included two discussion
sessions, the first of which was titled “Open Banking and Digital Transition: Shaping the Future of Islamic Banking”. The second session focused on measures for maximizing the sustainable impact of Waqf
Funds and Islamic Takaful portfolios.

Omair bin Mohammed Al Julandani,
Business Development Manager at “The Arabian Stories” stressed the significance
of the meeting as a means of exchanging knowledge and expertise among banks and
Sharia-compliant and financial institutions.

Al Julandani added that the meeting explored
support for digital transition in the Islamic banking sector, towards a more professional
future. The forum also highlighted opportunities for integration among
endowments, investment and Takaful as tools for maximizing the beneficial
impact.

During the forum, a number of private
and endowment Islamic financial institutions were felicitated for winning top
places at “Thamar 2025” Islamic finance excellence awards.
