It provides a safe environment and a creative space open to all segments of society, particularly those with special interests and needs. The idea for the studio emerged after the COVID-19 pandemic in response to the need many felt for self-expression and breaking psychological isolation. The founder, Siham Khalfan Al Darmaki, established the studio after obtaining her Master’s degree in Arts from Sultan Qaboos University in 2021. Today, the studio serves as a platform offering educational, recreational, and training workshops in the visual arts.’Artism’ focuses on diverse groups, ranging from children to adults, with special attention given to individuals with psychological or neurological conditions such as autism and depression. They receive enhanced support and an environment tailored to their needs, aimed at promoting their engagement with art as a tool for expression and therapy.— Ends/AH
