Committee of Muscat International Book Fair Holds Preparatory Meeting

Muscat,
13 Nov (ONA) — The Main Committee of the Muscat International Book Fair held
its first preparatory meeting today in preparation for the upcoming edition.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of
Information and Chairman of the Committee.

During
the meeting, the general report of the previous edition of the Fair was
reviewed, along with a discussion of the recommendations and proposals
contained in the related statistical reports.

In
the context of developing the Fair and elevating its organizational standard,
the Committee discussed the initial preparations and proposals for the 30th edition
of the Fair, which is scheduled to be held from 26 March to 5 April 2026.

The
Committee also discussed the participation of the Al Wusta Governorate as the
Guest of Honour for the 30th edition, and its role in highlighting the
civilizational, historical, cultural, investment, and tourism components that
distinguish it. The meeting also addressed the cultural program for the upcoming
edition, which includes a series of seminars, lectures, cultural and literary
evenings, artistic events, and dedicated activities for children.
