Value
of Traded Property in Oman Exceeds RO 2.6 Billion
Muscat,
9 Dec 2025 (ONA) — The total value of traded property in the Sultanate of
Oman reached RO 2.646 billion by the end of October 2025, marking a 10.1
percent decrease compared to the RO 2.943 billion recorded during the same
period in 2024.
Data
issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) showed that
the traded value of sales contracts increased by 20.2 percent by the end of
October 2025, reaching RO 1.098 billion, compared to RO 913 million in the
corresponding period of 2024. The number of sales contracts also rose by 0.4
percent, totaling 56,509 contracts, compared to 56,259 contracts during the
corresponding period last year.
The
statistics indicated that the traded value of mortgage contracts decreased by
23.7 percent, recording RO 1.539 billion through 18,752 contracts, compared to RO
2.018 billion for 17,187 contracts during the same period in 2024.
The
traded value of swap contracts also decreased by 24.5 percent, recording RO 8.8
million for 998 contracts by the end of October 2025, compared to RO 11.7
million for 1,135 contracts during the corresponding period in 2024.
In
terms of ownerships, the number of real estate title deeds issued increased by
2.7 percent by the end of October 2025, reaching 197,038 title deeds, compared
to 191,871 title deeds during the corresponding period in 2024.
Conversely,
the title deeds issued to citizens of GCC countries decreased by 11.2 percent,
registering 1,073 title deeds, compared to 1,209 title deeds by the end of
October 2024.
