Oman SMEs Committee Meets Bahraini Business Market Committees
Manama, 11 Dec 2025 (ONA) — A plenary meeting
was held today by representatives of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the
Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Committee of Oman Chamber of Commerce and
Industry (OCCI) and Bahrain business market committees and sectors of health,
industry and energy.
The meeting was also attended by members of Bahrain-Oman Businessmen Association.
The meeting dealt with aspects of cooperation
between sectoral committees and explored joint mechanisms for promoting the
products of SMEs through partnerships with Bahraini institutions. It discussed
the opening of joint marketing outlets that support entrepreneurs’ products in
the markets of both countries.
The meeting also discussed ongoing cooperation towards
organizing a GCC forum for entrepreneurs and freelancers that would allow for
the exchange of opinions about how to develop new projects and garner opportunities
available at the level of GCC states.
In addition, the meeting reviewed the role of
the two countries’ chambers in facilitating services for the business sector.
The two sides stressed the importance of consolidating
economic partnership and developing communication channels to serve the SME
sector and enhance its role in supporting economic development in the GCC region.
