Oil Rises on Fears of Supply DisruptionSingapore, 15 Dec 2025 (ONA) — Oil prices rose today, recouping part of last week’s 4 percent slide, as concerns over potential disruptions from escalating US-Venezuela tensions. Brent crude futures rose 25 cents, or 0.4 percent, to $61.37 a barrel, and US West Texas Intermediate crude was at $57.67 a barrel, up 23 cents, or 0.4 percent. Russian state oil and gas revenue in December is likely to fall by nearly half from a year earlier to 410 billion roubles ($5.12 billion) due to lower crude prices and a stronger rouble. A possible peace deal could eventually increase Russian oil supply, which is currently sanctioned by Western countries. On the supply side, US energy firms last week cut the number of oil and natural gas rigs operating for a second time in three weeks— Ends/Khalid
