Irbid, Feb. 24 (Petra) — The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has officially included Yarmouk University’s Golden Jubilee in its calendar of celebrations for 2026/2027, reflecting the university’s esteemed academic and scientific standing at both regional and international levels.
According to a university statement released Tuesday, President Malek Alsharairi emphasized that this recognition represents an international acknowledgment of the university’s achievements, its role in promoting the values of science and culture, and its contribution to sustainable development and enriching humanity’s cultural heritage.
He further noted that this milestone reinforces the university’s commitment to continuous development and academic distinction. He underlined that, in line with the vision of the Hashemite leadership, Yarmouk University will continue to nurture future leaders, support scholars, and remain a center of inspiration and intellectual growth.
