Amman, March 9 (Petra) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi received a phone call on Monday from Vietnamese Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung.
The ministers discussed the repercussions of the dangerous escalation in the region, prospects for restoring calm and sparing the region from the conflict spreading, and the importance of diplomacy to consolidate regional security and stability.
Safadi outlined steps taken by both countries to implement the outcomes of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s visit to Vietnam in November, which identified clear sectors for cooperation between the two countries which will have a positively impact on both countries.
The ministers pledged to continue working to bolster economic, trade, defense, and tourism cooperation, and enhance bilateral relations.
