Doha, March 27 (QNA) – Al Wakrah and Al Arabi achieved valuable victories over Al Rayyan (3-1) and Police (3-1) respectively Friday evening in the second round of the Qatar Volleyball League for Men, with all matches being held at the Qatar Volleyball Association Hall and featuring 10 clubs.
In the first match, Al Wakrah defeated Al Rayyan 3-1, with scores of 25-21, 18-25, 28-26, 25-21.
In the second match, Al Arabi triumphed over Police 3-1, with scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-18, 30-28.
With these results, Al Wakrah maintained their lead in the overall standings, raising their points tally to 43, two points ahead of second-placed Al Arabi. Meanwhile, Police’s points total remained at 37, and Al Rayyan’s at 36.
The competition will continue on Sunday with two matches: Qatar SC (33 points) will face Al Sadd (7 points), and Al Ahli (26 points) will play Al Gharafa (11 points). (QNA)
