Ukraine Launches Drone Offensives on Multiple Russian Territories

Kyiv, May 31 (QNA) – The Ukrainian authorities announced Sunday that they had bombed multiple Russian territories with drones, including an oil pipeline pumping station, an oil refinery, and a fuel depot.

The Ukrainian forces attacked the Saratov Oil Refinery on the Volga River, setting it ablaze, and struck the Lazarevo Oil Pumping Station in Russia’s Kirov Region, north-east of Moscow, which serves the Surgut-Polotsk oil pipeline transporting Russian oil from Siberia to Belarus, the Ukrainian General Staff said in a statement today.

Sources in Matveyev Kurgan region reported the eruption of a massive fire following the drone offensive on a fuel depot located in the town contiguous with the Russia-controlled part of Donetsk Oblast.

On Saturday, the Russian forces conducted strikes on the infrastructure of military airfields, as well as fuel and energy facilities in Ukraine, marking a new escalation in the ongoing war that has been raging between the two countries since Feb. 24, 2022. (QNA)
