Suva, June 01 (QNA) – An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale struck Fiji in the South Pacific Ocean Monday.
The US Geological Survey reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 568 kilometers.
Fiji lies in the Pacific Ring of Fire, a region prone to frequent and sometimes powerful earthquakes. (QNA)
