Amman, June 2 (Petra) – The Media Commission on Tuesday circulated to
media organizations a letter issued by the Attorney General of the
Major Criminal Court imposing a gag order on coverage of a shooting
incident in the Ashrafieh area.
According to the letter, media outlets are prohibited from publishing
any information related to the case or the ongoing investigation, as
well as publishing, republishing, or circulating any photographs,
video footage, or other materials connected to the incident, citing
potential adverse effects on the course of the investigation. The
directive warned that violations of the order could result in
criminal liability.
