Kuwait Summons Iranian Diplomat, Expels Two Embassy Staff Members

Amman, June 3 (Petra) — Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs
summoned Iran’s chargé d’affaires ad interim in Kuwait, Hamed
Yaqoubi, and delivered an official protest note regarding the ongoing
attacks, as well as a decision to reduce the number of staff at the
Iranian embassy in the country.

According to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Deputy Foreign Minister
Hamad Al-Mashaan announced that two members of the Iranian diplomatic
mission had been declared persona non grata and must leave Kuwaiti
territory within 24 hours.
