Amman, June 6 (Petra) – Speaker of the House of Representatives Mazen
Qadi received Iraqi Parliament Speaker Haibat Halbousi on Saturday,
in what marks Halbousi’s first official foreign visit since assuming
office.
Qadi and Halbousi are scheduled to hold official talks at the House
of Representatives on Sunday, focusing on ties and ways to enhance
parliamentary cooperation. The Iraqi speaker is set to meet with
several Jordanian officials during his visit.
Halbousi and his accompanying delegation were received upon arrival
by First Deputy Speaker Khamis Atieh, Second Deputy Speaker Ibrahim
Sarairah, Assistant Speakers MPs Hala Jarrah and Maisoun Qawabah, and
Secretary-General of the House of Representatives Awad Ghuwairi.
