Amman, June 9 (Petra) — Summer weather conditions are expected to
remain stable through the end of the week, with temperatures holding
near seasonal averages across most areas before edging slightly lower
on Friday, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

The department said mild weather will prevail across most regions on
Tuesday, while hotter conditions are expected in the Badia, the
Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Moderate northwesterly winds
are forecast throughout the day, becoming active at times,
particularly in desert areas.

Weather conditions are expected to remain largely unchanged on
Wednesday and Thursday, with mild summer temperatures continuing
across most parts of the country. Hot weather will persist in the
Badia and low-lying regions, where temperatures are forecast to
remain significantly higher than those recorded in the highlands and
major urban centers.

A slight decline in temperatures is expected on Friday, although
weather conditions will remain generally pleasant across most
regions. The Badia is forecast to experience relatively hot weather,
while hot conditions will continue in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea
and Aqaba.

The forecast highlights a continuing contrast between the country’s
temperate highland areas and its warmer desert and low-elevation
regions. Temperatures on Tuesday are expected to reach 32 degrees
Celsius in East Amman and 30 degrees in West Amman, while highs in
the northern and southern highlands are forecast to range between 27
C and 28 C.

In warmer regions, temperatures are expected to climb to 37 C in the
Badia, 38 C in the northern Jordan Valley, and 40 C in both the
southern Jordan Valley and Aqaba. The Dead Sea is forecast to record
a high of 39 C.
