Irbid, June 13 (Petra) — The social committee at the Income and
Sales Tax Directorate in Irbid Governorate is organizing a blood
donation campaign on Sunday to support thalassemia and kidney
dialysis patients, under the direct supervision of the National Blood
Bank.

The launch of this campaign coincides with the Kingdom’s national
celebrations, including the King’s Accession to the Throne,
Independence Day, Army Day, and the anniversary of the Great Arab
Revolt.

The committee stated on Saturday that the drive will take place at
the Irbid Income and Sales Tax Directorate building, starting from
9:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

It added that the campaign embodies the values of social solidarity,
deepens the meaning of belonging and loyalty to the homeland and the
Hashemite leadership during these cherished occasions, and aims to
spread a culture of blood donation while raising awareness about its
health benefits for both donors and recipients.
