Amman, June 14 (Petra) – El Hassan Youth Award (EYA) held an
interactive day at its permanent camp in Amman’s Tabarbour area, with
the participation of 64 young men and women from care homes.

Orphanages from Amman and Irbid governorates took part in the day as
part of “Siraj Project” initiatives for orphan empowerment.

According to a statement from the award’s office, the day featured
“intensive” practical application of the award’s four programs,
mainly designed to refine participants’ skills and develop their life
and leadership abilities.

The youth contributed to painting the camp’s sidewalks and trees to
instill values ​​of responsibility and environmental conservation as
part of their community service.

The skill-based program focused on stimulating scientific and
innovative thinking through hands-on training.

Activities also focused on sports and physical fitness, including
basic military training and team games to foster teamwork and
discipline.

Culminating in an expedition, participants learned land navigation
skills, map reading, and the use of compasses.

Besides the field activities, the events featured an interactive
dialogue session that allowed youth to express their aspirations and
discuss their ideas.

This activity falls under vision of “Siraj Project,” which aims to
care for and empower orphans and people without family support, in
cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development.
